About the Zoanthid
Sonic Flares are one of the rarer metallic-silver zoanthid morphs. A bright blue ring surrounds a silvery body, with fine burgundy-red striping radiating from the center — and at the right viewing angle, the face takes on an almost opalescent shimmer. They're a Zoanthus sp. morph, large-polyped, and known for spreading quickly once settled, so give them room from neighboring corals.
Other Common Names
Sonic Flares are frequently also referred to as Vamps in Drags — in fact you'll see both names used interchangeably across the hobby.
Vamps in Drags are currently being mixed up with another Zoanthid morph called VW Bloodshots.
