The LC Golden Phoenix Rhodactus Mushroom is a legendary addition to any mushroom collection, named for its fiery, radiating color pattern that resembles a phoenix. This premium Rhodactus specimen features a complex texture of fuzzy, metallic gold and orange vesicles that contrast sharply against a deep blue base. The most striking feature of the Golden Phoenix is the way the gold "feathers" bleed out from the center, creating a glowing effect especially under actinics.
 
As a hardy and beginner-friendly mushroom coral, the Golden Phoenix is exceptionally adaptable. It thrives in low-to-moderate light and gentle flow, making it an ideal choice for filling in lower rockwork or creating a high-end "shroom" garden. Under actinic lighting, the orange and gold pigments take on a fluorescent shimmer that sets it apart from standard Rhodactus varieties.

Lighting: Mushroom corals prefers lower to medium lighting. Avoid placing it directly under intense light, as this can cause it to bleach or lose its vibrant coloration. A good starting point is the sand bed or a shaded area on your rockwork.

Water Flow: This coral prefers low to very low water flow. Strong, direct flow can cause the mushroom's tissue to retract and prevent it from opening fully. It can also cause the coral to detach from its frag plug and get blown around the tank.
 
Feeding: While not strictly required, occasional supplemental feeding can help promote faster growth and enhanced health. You can spot-feed the Sunfire Ricordea with small, meaty foods like finely chopped mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, or high-quality coral pellets. Feed it when the lights are off or at a low setting.
 
Placement: The ideal placement is on the sand bed or a lower section of your aquascape where it receives gentle flow and lower light.
