Another beautiful rainbow goniopora. The dark purple-blue body create an amazing contrast against its beautiful polyps. TCK Dark Rainbow Goniopora's tentacles have a perfect blend of orange, yellow, and red. When the polyps sway, it gives a chromatic like effect where it looks like the entire coral is transitioning through the colors.
Short tentacled Gonioporas tend to be much easier to care for than their long polyped cousins. It's believed that they are more photosynthetic than their long polyped variants, making them rely more on lighting like other corals rather than just strictly feeding.
Some reefers struggle with Goniopora species, but we have had amazing success using coral foods such as Benepets. Give it a weekly feeding and you should be all set!

The Coral Kings
Intermediate level coral. Best tried after you've had success with a few other easier corals first. Special requirements include weekly feeding of food such as Benepets.
A moderate grower. Increased growth with feeding such as Benepets.
Keep gonioporas near the sanbed if you want them to extend the longest.
Currently kept under Kessil A360X units. Mounting height 24" above water line. 12:00PM - 10:00PM at 100% blue intensity.
Prefers a moderate breeze, enough to make the tentacles sway. Avoid strong direct flow, as this may damage the tissue.
Currently kept with Maxspect Gyre 350s Pumps.
