One of the hardiest Gonioporas that we have in the farm! This Goniopora gets its name from the different shades of colors on the tentacles, specifically pink and purple. We don't believe this Goniopora to be of a "grafted" variety, but more so that the colors change in different hues as it grows. This unique coloration has made it a hit with Goniopora collectors!
Some reefers struggle with Goniopora sp., but we have had amazing success using coral foods such as Benepets. Give it a weekly feeding and you should be all set!
LC Dual Toned Goniopora
Strong intermediate level coral. Best tried after you've had success with a few other easier corals first. Special requirements include weekly feeding of food such as Benepets.
Slow. Increased growth with feeding such as Benepets.
Keep gonioporas near the sanbed if you want them to extend the longest.
Currently kept under Kessil A360X units. Mounting height 24" above water line. 12:00PM - 10:00PM at 100% blue intensity.
Prefers a moderate breeze, enough to make the tentacles sway. Avoid strong direct flow, as this may damage the tissue.
Currently kept with Maxspect Gyre 350s Pumps.
